Overview
Scoreboard Youth Football Leadership Tour aims to bridge the gap between aspiring young football players and collegiate athletes by providing a unique mentorship and coaching experience.
College student-athletes will visit youth football teams in the Winston Salem area to serve as guest coaches. They will speak about leadership, run position-specific drills, and promote their respective colleges and institutions. This initiative will foster personal growth, athletic development, and inspire young athletes to pursue higher education and sportsmanship.
Program Activities
1. Leadership Talks: Structured sessions where college athletes discuss the importance of leadership, teamwork, and balancing academics with sports.
2. Position Drills: Hands-on training focusing on specific football positions, led by college athletes who specialize in those positions.
3. Mentorship Circles: Small group discussions and Q&A sessions to foster personal connections between college athletes and youth players.
4. College Promotion: Information sessions and distribution of college materials to encourage youth athletes to aspire towards higher education.
Objectives
